Paper Girls Challenge "The Great Outdoors"

Hello everyone!  I have been asked to Guest Design for the Paper Girls Challenge this month, and I am honored :)

This first challenge theme is "The Great Outdoors":

I created this card with the Altenew stamp set called "Persian Motifs".  I stamped the image on hot press water color paper with Versamark ink and then heat embossed it with clear embossing powder.  Then I painted the flowers using my Inktense pencils.

The sentiment is from Tim Holtz Just Sayings stamp set, and I added some sequins from my stash.

I enjoy coloring or painting flowers, and to be able to do it with water color makes it even better!\

I'll see you again in two weeks for another Guest Design project for Paper Girls Challenge!  Until then, Happy Crafting!

Thinking of You with Leah

I have a water colored card for you today for Sweet Stamps.  This is the Cabbage Rose red rubber stamp, and for the sentiment I used the Framed Handwritten words stamp set.  I stamped the cabbage rose with Memento Gray Flannel and water colored it with Inktense pencils, but before I painted it, I masked it and stamped three more times with Memento Desert Sand.

I also masked off the main flower after it was painted and gave it a shadow with Stormy Sky Distress Ink.  I've always wanted to try a spotlight technique, and I think it turned out great :)  I cut the oval out and popped it up on dimensional adhesives.

The linked products can be found in the Sweet Stamps online store, along with many other wonderful stamps and crafty things to 'play' with.  And don't forget to play along with our two monthly challenges.  This one starting today is anything goes, and in two weeks our Anything but a Card challenge starts.

Come back soon for more fun and inspiration!
