Hello wintery friends! I hope everyone is warm and cozy, or at least all bundled up! The cold snap has finally broken here and we're gonna get snow hopefully for Christmas :)
I have created this watercolor card for you today featuring "Let it Snow" from The Greeting Farm.
To complete this card I also used paper from the Doodlebug Designs "Polar Pals" collection, Prima Watercolor pans in "The Classics" colors, Lawn Fawn "Stitched Snowflakes" die set, and "Mermaid Tales" sequins from Quick Creations.
Sadly, Noelle has decided to close her shop and focus more on her health, but the linked products are still available in the shop while they last; Noelle has put everything on sale! (See the image below for more details)
You can find the sales here at Quick Creations! Come back soon for more fun inspiration :)

Fairy Lights with Santoro/Gorjuss and Quick Creations
Hello everyone :) Are you feeling the Christmas spirit yet? I'm still working on that one lol. Hoping to get in the mood real soon, since it's already halfway through December :) I still have to put up my tree, and wrap some presents. I really dislike putting the lights on the tree, so last year I bought a fake tree that already has lights in it :) I know, way to ruin the mood right lol. What's your least favorite thing about decorating for Christmas?
So on that note, lol...here's a mini Gorjuss Christmas card for you featuring the Santoro/Gorjuss Mini "Fairy Lights" and Kaisercraft "Silver Bells" paper :)
You can find this stamp in Noelle Martin's online shop at Quick Creations. Unfortunately she doesn't have any of the Kaisercraft "Silver Bells" paper left and it is discontinued, such a shame cuz this paper is gorgeous. Do you want a tip about matching paper to your colored images? Pick your paper before you color, then you can pick your colors accordingly and voila!
Thanks for stopping by, see you soon, and don't get too caught up in Christmas tree lights :)

Friday Feature: Jenninfer McGuire #2
Hello all, I have the second feature card today CASE-ing Jennifer McGuire's card from this video :)
I changed it up again, and used less elements to create the card. It makes for an elegant CAS card :) Again I used the Altenew Peony Scrolls stamp set, and heat embossed with white embossing powder, and then colored with Gansai Tambi watercolors.I added the sentiment, then some lace and adhesive backed pearls for a clean look.
I am really enjoying this Feature Friday posts. It gives me a chance to create and learn from some of my favorite card artists! Next up...Sandy Allnock! SWOON :)

Firday Feature: Jennifer McGuire!
Hello everyone :) I am starting a new Friday Feature series today where I CASE some of my favorite card artists! Today I will start with the fabulous Jennifer McGuire of Jennifer McGuire Ink.
I created this card by CASE-ing Jennifer's card in this video. However, I did change things up a bit :)
I colored this card using my Gansai Tambi watercolors :) I stamped and clear embossed the background with the Heidi Swapp Mixed Media background stamp, and the sentiment is the Sweet Wishes die and stamps from My Creative Time. I love the Altenew Peony Scrolls stamp set, it is just gorgeous!
In two weeks I will use the same stamp set and video from Jennifer McGuire, to create another card, a little bit different yet again :) I will be taking a break next Friday to post a DT project for Quick Creations :)

Friday Feature Altenew's Hennah Elements #3
This is last Friday Feature post for Altenew's Hennah Elements stamp set (for now lol). This is such a versatile set, I can definitely see doing more.
This also happens to be my favorite of the three, saved the best for last of course!
I wanted to create my own DSP with this stamp set, and wow did it turn out great! I also created this with watercolor pencils on hot pressed watercolor paper! I apologize, I can't remember which pencils for sure, but if I had to guess, I'd say these were done with Inktense pencils. They are nice and bright.
The sentiment and sequins are added from my stash. But I do have to say, this was the most fun card to make out of the three :) I love to experiment, and when the experiment turns out so well, well...it just makes my day :) Do you experiment with different mediums on your cards? Hmmm, I might see another Friday Feature series in the future....
But for now, next week I will start featuring cards that I have CASEd from some of my favorite card artists! Sandy Allnock and Jennifer McGuire, just to name a couple :) I'll leave the rest for you to figure out.
Until then, goodbye for now, keep crafting and come back soon!

Friday Feature Hennah Elements #2
Today it's time for the second card in this Friday Feature series with Altenew's "Hennah Elements" stamp set.
To create this card, I masked and stamped the various flowers and leaves on copic blending paper. I colored them with my copics and added a sentiment from my stash. Lastly I added three sequins to match and voila! A simple but effective one layer card! And such fun to make as well :)
Next week wil be the last week working with the Altenew "Hennah Elements" stamp set, but don't worry, lol...I have other adventures in store for us ;)
Thank you for stopping by, see you soon!

Fun Friendly Challenge with Jammie Clark :)
Hello everyone, Jammie and I are back with our fun and friendly challenge :) We have decided to do this every month, and so far it's been a blast!
Next month, for a twist, we are each going to pick a challenge to enter our projects in :) We'll see how that goes, and if we like it, well...we just may keep doing that! We've also come up with a name to encompass what we do every month...but that's a SUPER secret SECRET for another day...muwahahahahahahaha. (yes, that's my evil laugh lol)
So, without further adieu...here is my card for September....can you tell what the element is that Jammie and I have both used? You can view her project here on her blog :)
I had a ton of fun creating this card. And I used a few different techniques to create the background (well, and foreground for that matter lol). The very first layer is Distress Inks in Faded Jeans and Frayed Burlap. The second layer is an embossing folder that I sprayed with water and applied just with a little pressure from my hands. The water moved and removed some of the distress inks, leaving a visible image in the colors.
The third layer is the flourish stamp from the Stampin' Up Creative Elements set and it is stamped with Staz On ink. Then the fourth layer (phew! I'm running out of breath!) is Recollections Signature Series watercolor markers and well, water of course. I used the blue to paint the flower shapes in the flourish stamp and the brown to do the leaf shapes. I used a lot of water and then blotted them out so that it gives a bleached out look, while still adding color to the area.
The next step was to outline the flower shapes with a black marker. I wanted them to stand out a little bit more. And lastly, the white gel pen added some strategically placed highlights and the white dots in the background.
Thanks for stopping by, and don't forget to go and visit Jammie's blog as well :)

Feature Fridays: Altenew Hennah Elements
Hi! I have a new Friday Feature for you for the next few Fridays:) I have taken Altenew's Hennah Elements stamp and die set and created three different cards. So for the next three Fridays, I will feature this stamp set.
Here is the first :)
For this card, I first stamped the background with a vine stamp from my stash. Then I stamped the large flowers and leaves and die cut them out using the matching dies to the stamp set. I colored them first with my copics and then added shading with my Prismacolor Pencils. There are no details to add since these wonderful stamps have all the details you need :) The sentiment is also from my stash and is stamped in Momento Gold and heat embossed with clear embossing powder.
Thanks for stopping by today, come back next week for another card featuring the Altenew Hennah Elements stamp and die set :)

Feel Better Hydrangeas with Dove Art and Quick Creations :)
I just love the Dove Art stamps, they are so fabulous. They are very realistic which always draws me in :)
I have created this Feel Better card for Quick Creations using the wonderful Dove Art "Hydrangeas" stamp.
I created this card by stamping the hydrangeas onto hot-pressed watercolor paper with Staz-On ink. I painted them with the Prima Watercolor Pans in "The Classics" and "Decadent Pies". To finish it off I added some Nuvo Crystal Drops in "Violet Galaxy".
You can find all of the linked products in the Quick Creations online shop :)
Come back soon for more inspiration for Quick Creations (and some just for fun too!)

Friday Feature - Prima Marketing Water Color Pencils!
I am back with the last of the Watercolor Pencil Friday Features, but don't worry...next week I will start a new series of Friday feature cards featuring one of my favorite stamp sets and creating different cards with one set.
So for this week, I have my second most favorite card, and watercolor pencils. These pencils are by Prima Marketing and they are great! Very creamy and smooth :)
This card turned out so great! I am very happy with it. The flowers are from Stampin' Up although I don't know the name of the stamp...if you know it, let me know in the comments below! The sentiment is also from Stampin' Up, from the "Yippee Skippee" set.
So that's all for the Watercolor Pencils Friday Features...and the winners are? Definitely without a doubt...Derwent Inktense in first place and Prima Marketing a close second! I'm loving them both, and next I wil try mixing them up to see if I can blend them together well....yay!
As I stated above, next week I will start the new Friday Features using one of my favorite stamp sets and creating different cards with the same set. And I'm gonna leave it a surprise as to which stamp set it is hehehe. See you next week!

Friday Feature - Prismacolor Watercolor Pencils
For this week's feature, I have a card created using the Prismacolor Watercolor Pencils. And I have to tell you, although I am a Prismacolor fan, these were my least favorite of the five sets. It could very well be because this is also the oldest of the five sets (like 25 years!) however, they did not blend well at all, and I found them very grainy for WC pencils.
This is a very small set, lol, 6 pencils, and I think I used them all here lol. You can see in the picture the grain-iness of them (is that even a word? LOL!) However, I stil think the card turned out ok. The sentiment is from Stampin' Up "Really Good Greetings" and the flowers are Hero Arts.
Next week, the last of the WC pencils is Prima, another great one :) See you then!

Traveling Ellie with Paper Nest Dolls
It's challenge time at Paper Nest Dolls! For this month's challenge I have chosen to create a card with "Traveling Ellie" :) She is too cute :)
Told you she was cute, lol. I created a 5x7 card this month which I don't normally do, I usually prefer the 4.25 by 5.5 inch cards.

I colored her using my Copics, Prismacolor markers and Prismacolor Premiere pencils in the following colors:
Skin: E000
PC927, 939, 1081
Hair: YR21
PC1034, 942, 943

A Fun Friendly Challenge
Hello everyone, a friend and I were talking...ok, so we were Facebook messaging, lol, and we came up with a fun challenge between us. We decided we would take turns each month and send each other an element that could be used in card making. It doesn't matter if we hate it or love it, we still had to use it, lol.
My friend is Jammie (pronounced Jamie) Clark and she is from Idaho (potatoes anyone?) LOL! Jammie is great and has a fantastic sense of humor lol. She and I send jokes about each others countries back and forth all the time, eh? Jammie's blog is www.jammied.com and you can go and visit and see if you can determine what our element is this month :)
So, I decided not to make a card...rebel, I know. I have a bunch of these little notebooks that I wanted to get started on for craft fairs, and this gave me the perfect opportunity to get them started!
To alter these notebooks, I used paper from the DCWV The Primrose collection, and the sentiment, flower stamps and dies are from the Lovely Flowers stamp and die set from Catherine Pooler's latest Stamp of Approval Collection called Lovely Notes :) I also used Nuvo Crystal Drops in Caribbean Ocean and Ivory Seashell, which you can find here :)
So, that is my project for this month for our fun and friendly challenge. Stay tuned next month when Jammie and I create something with an element that I sent her from Canada ;) You never know what we'll come up with!

Magnolia Tulips Thinking of You with Quick Creations
Hello everyone, I have a card for you today for Quick Creations using the Magnolia stamps "Two Tulips", Lawn Fawn's "Scripty Sayings" stamp set and paper from the CC Designs "Pastel my Belle" collection.
I colored this image using my Prismacolor Premiere Pencils on hot pressed water color paper. I love pencils on this paper, it seems to have just the right amount of tooth to it, and the pencils blend just beautifully.
I stamped the tulips and masked them off to be able to stamp them three times in total to look like a row of tulips.
You can find the linked items in Noelle's online shop at Quick Creations. Come and join in the monthly challenge, there is a new one starting soon!

Friday Feature - Derwent Inktence Pencils!
HI! I have another Friday Feature card for you today using Derwent Inktense pencils :) SPOILER ALERT****these MAY just be my favorite of the five pencil brands...but are you really surprised? LOL!
I also think this may be favorite card out of the five lol. I just love the way it turned out. The flower stamp is an unamed STampin' Up I believe (if you recognize it please let me know lol) and the sentiment is from the Stampin' Up Set "Yippee Skippee".
All five of these cards have been embossed before watercoloring. For card work, I just find it that much easier and faster to watercolor when the image is embossed.
Next week, I will have Prismacolor Watercolor pencils to pay with so come back and check it out!

Sweet as Honey
I have been having more fun with watercolors!
I have created this card for you today using a background that I previously made using my Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolors. I created some texture on the background using the honey comb stamp and Pumice Stone Distress Ink and Fossilized Amber with the Flourish stamp from the "Cherish" set. I used the Honey Bee "Cherish" stamp set sentiments to create the two rows of sentiments and added some of the little bee and mini honey comb stamps in there too. Then I stamped the flowers and watercolored them using Fossilized Amber and Vintage Photo Distress Inks. I fussy cut the flowers out and layered them with dimensional adhesive so they stuck out from the page.
This is such a versatile stamp set, you can do just about anything with it!

Friday Feature - Staedler Ergosoft Aquarell
I have another watercolor pencil project for you today, this time with Staedler Ergosoft Aquarell pencils :)
I do like the brightness of these pencils, however, once again, the Staedler pencils have very hard leads and it's hard to keep the pencil pigment on top of the paper.
The butterfly stamp is from Hero Arts and it is a fun stamp to play with :)
Stay tuned next week for Derwent Inktense!

Puddles of Love with Mini Gorjuss and Quick Creations
OK, seriously, I fell in love with Gorjuss girls early on in my coloring career. A new friend who introduced me to the stamp coloring world said to me you need to find your style. I took one look at Gorjuss girls and said: I FOUND IT! Hahahaha. So, now they have come out with these Gorjuss minis, and they are every bit as sweet as the full size ones :)
So, here is Puddles of Love Gorjuss Mini for Noelle Martin and Quick Creations.
These stamps are so sweet, and of course since I very clearly suffer from Full Set syndrome, I had to have them all lol. Good thing they are fairly easy on the pocketbook ;)
I also used the LDRS Creative Gilded Doily die and a Petaloo Burlap Bloom to create this card, along with some paper and flowers from my stash. I printed the sentiment out on my computer, and it is a well-known saying, you can find it just about anywhere online.
I colored this Gorjuss Girl in my Copics and Prismacolor Premiere pencils in the following colors:
Skin: E000
PC927, 939, 1081
Hair: E11
PC1082, 946, 948, 935
Greys: C1
PC1060, 1065, 1067
Pinks: R81
PC1018, 993, 994, 1009
You can find all of the linked products in Noelle's online shop at Quick Creations, where you can also find superior service and great friends :)

Friday Feature - Watercolor Pencil Comparison :)
Hello everyone, I have a new feature set for you for the next five Fridays! I have done a comparison of five different sets of watercolor pencils. No, I don't have the full sets of each of these (except Prima ;)) Each set is a small set that I have acquired over the years, some I have purchased, and some were gifted to me, and each has it's own unique set of pros and cons. I will touch on a couple of these in each of the five blog posts :)
The first one I have for you is Staedler Karat Aquarell. This was a nice set, however I found the leads very hard. The colors are fairly bright, but not as bright as I like them.
The set I purchased about 4 years ago is very small, so I needed to pick an image I could color with a very limited palette (I think there may be 6 pencils in this set lol). This stamp is the Large Thistle Flower from The Rubber Cafe. The ribbon is from Crafty Ribbons.
Stop by next Friday for another review, this time of Staedler Ergosoft Aquarell :) See you soon.

Friday Feature - Watercolor Card #5 Have a Great Day!
This is last watercolor card for the Friday Feature series, until next week when I start the watercolor pencil comparison!
I created the background for this card using, you got it...my Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolors once again lol. I stamped the sentiment first and embossed it with silver embossing powder from recollections. The sentiment is from a Hero Arts stamp, CL351. Sorry, I don't know the name and I couldn't find it on their website. If you know the name of this stamp, pleas let me know in the comments section and I'll add it to the post.
The sequins are from my stash, and the ribbons are from my local Dollarama, lol. I can be a very thrifty shopper :)
So, that is the last of the easy but effective watercolor cards, but next Friday I will be starting a five week series on watercolor pencil comparisons. I am looking forward to showing you what I have created, I hope you are looking forward to seeing them!

Friday Feature-Watercolor Card #4 I Freakin' Love You :)
The Friday Feature this week is watercolor card #4 using my Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolors :)
I love how bright and cheerful this card turned out, and the sentiment from Stampin' Up, called Yippee Skippee, was just perfect!
I embossed the sentiment with Copper embossing powder from Recollections (Yes, Michaels again haha) and created the background with my Kuretake watercolors in yellow, orange and red.
The ribbon is from May Arts.
The last Watercolor card comes next week! And after that, get ready for a watercolor pencil comparison. Each week for five weeks I'll be creating a card using a different brand of watercolor pencils and giving you my thoughts on each brand :) See you soon!
