Let that Light Shine with JoyClair Stamps!

The final release for February in Joyclair's Color by Faith series is called "Let That Light Shine."

This was actually the first journalling page for me.  And to be honest I had a hard time with it.  I have a nasty habit of being a literal person, and there aren't many grey areas lol.  So I have a hard time interpreting things if they aren't black and white.  Perhaps this new artistic venture will help me to get passed that.

I chose the verse from Matthew 5:16 to create this page for:  "In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven."

It turned out to be a little easier than I thought, and after adding the stamps, I also decided to add my own image to the page.  It just needed something to finish it off, and I thing the words and the eye have completed this page perfectly :)

Some Amber Love with Saturated Canary and Quick Creations :)

Squeal!  I have some Saturated Canary/Little Darlings cuteness for you today!  This is "Amber" and you can find her in Noelle Martin's online shop at Quick Creations :)  She is so stinking cute!

I colored her using my Copics and Prismacolor premiere pencils in the following colors:

Skin:  E00
PC927, 939, 1029
Hair:  Y21
PC1034, 943, 938
Clothes:  B00
PC919, 1101, 901, 938

I completed this card using Dear Lizzy "Serendipity" paper, a Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush pen, Lala Land Hanging Hearts and Love Word die set, as well as some Distress Inks in Victorian Velvet and Spun Sugar.

Noelle is out of commission for a few weeks after surgery at the beginning of the month, so there's no challenge this month, but for sure we will have that up and running again in no time I'm sure!

So come back back and visit the blog to see all the inspiration Noelle's team has been busy creating for her, you won't be disappointed!

Just Kitten Around :)

I have a cute kitty card for all you cat lovers out there :)

This is a new stamp set released by Joyclair, called Just Kitten Around.

Such a sweet little guy and I have colored him with my Copics and Prismacolor Markers in the following colors:
Y21, Y38, Yr24, R11, R22, R24, C1, C3, PB112, PB114, BG70, PB121, PB211

You can find this fun stamp set on the Joyclair website, along with the other new releases this month.  Can you believe there are 8 new releases??!

Check out the Joyclair blog to see new inspiration everyday!

You Crack Me UP!

Another new release for Joyclair!  And this one is super funny :)

This stamp set is called BFF (Breakfast Friends Forever!)

I created a tag for this one, I thought it would be a cute addition to a gift or card or maybe just something to make someone's day!

I'm still practicing with my Copics and Prismacolor Markers, lol, they are not my best medium, but...practice makes perfect right?  Well...in my case, practice makes better anyways, lol.

I used the following colors for this project:
C1, C3, Y38, YR24, E15, PB99, PB172, BG70, PB121 (colorless blender)

Such a fun stamp set, you really have to have a play with this one ;)

All Things are Possible with Joy Clair Stamps

This is the third stamp set released this month by Joy Clair in their Color by Faith series, it is called "All Things are Possible".

I created this page for the verse Mark 10:27:  'Jesus looked at them and said, "With man it is impossible, but not with God.  For all things are possible with God.'

Is this not the truest thing you've ever heard?  Without faith in what God has done and will do, we would not have the courage to do many of the things we aspire to do.  And if we do not have courage, we do nothing.

Short and sweet, because that's all there is to say.  This one is black and white for me.  There is no grey area.  It is what it is.  If we have faith, we have courage, and if we have courage, we can do anything.  My courage has waned as of late, because my faith has as well.  It is growing again and getting stronger.  I am on my way to doing anything :)

Grow in Faith with JoyClair Stamps

For my second Joyclair Color by Faith bible journalling page this month, I am creating with the "Grow in Faith" stamp set.

For this project I chose the verse from Luke 8:5:  "A sower went out to sow his seed.  And as he sowed, some fell along the path and was trampled underfoot, and the birds of the air devoured it."

I pondered this one for a bit and came to realize that I believe this verse is essentially telling us to take care of even the smallest seeds, no matter where they land.  We have so much to teach and to show, and if we are not careful to nurture even the smallest morsel of knowledge, it will be lost.  And if we wish the future to be better and brighter with our knowledge, then we must take special care with that knowledge.  This does not mean we cannot sow the knowledge, but that we must continue to nourish it.

This is another new release for February, there's many new sets released every month!  Come back soon to see more ;)

Sweet Stamps Anything but a Card Challenge :)

Hello everyone, I have a Happy Birthday ATC card to share with you today for the Sweet Stamps Anything but a Card challenge :)

I used the following supplies in this project, all of which can be found at sweetstamps.com!

sc009 Betty's Bloom Sweet Cuts die
sc006 Fancy Leaf Sweet Cuts die
LS4600 Banner Girl and Words stamp set
AF ATC Backgrounds #2 Artsy Fartsy
Shades Dye Ink in Palm Grove, Beach and Forest

I am a very logical person, and although I love the ATCs, I find there's not much practical use for them.  In that regard, I have created this ATC with a Happy Birthday sentiment so that it can be used as a tag or an add on for a card :)

Come back soon to see more Sweet Stamps inspiration, and don't forget to come and join in on the two monthly challenges found on the Sweet Stamps challenge blog!

Easter Eggs! With Joyclair!

It's coming soon!  Easter eggs will be scattered throughout your house (if you have young ones of course, lol) and yes, some will be forgotten behind couches lol, but such is the peril of having kids lol.

For my Joyclair project for this newly released stamp (Easter Eggs) set I have created a card in sweet soft colors:

I completed this card using Shades Dye Ink Spots from Sweet Stamps LLC in Latte, Deco Coral, Amaryllis, and Satin Rose, Crinkle Ribbon from Tim Holtz, and some adhesive pearls from my stash.

I really enjoyed creating this project and these fun stamps allowed me to create my own background paper.  Not much else was needed to complete this project; the stamps are perfect and speak for themselves!

You can find this stamp set, and the rest of the eight new releases on the Joyclair website.  Don't forget to come and join the blog hop over at the Joyclair blog for loads of inspiration!

Metals on Kraft Happy Birthday with Sweet Stamps!

HI!  I have a fun male-themed card for you today for Sweet Stamps LLC.  I have found that I do not make enough male-themed cards, so I have challenged myself to make at least one every month :)

I created this card with the Checker Flowers Stencil, the Elegant Leaves Sweet Cuts Die, Medieval Metals Fine Detail embossing powder, and the Framed Handwritten Words stamp set, as well as Shades Dye Ink in Brownie.

I even embossed the button!  And I love the elegant but masculine feel to this card.

You can find all the products that linked in the Sweet Stamps online store here.

Don't forge to come and join us for the two monthly challenges over on the Sweet Stamp challenge blog, you know you want to!

A new venture with Joy Clair Stamps :)

I am please to tell you that I have been accepted as a member of the Joy Clair Stamps Design Team!  And with this new venture, comes another:  Bible Journalling! I have started with February's new release for the Color By Faith stamp line by Joy Clair :)

This stamp set is called He Has Risen:

I really was intrigued by this new journalling medium.  Who would think that it's ok to write and draw and color in your bible!  Made me sweat a little bit, lol, but no worries, I purchased a journalling bible just for this reason.

I chose 1 Corinthians 15:12 for this project because it really resonates with me, the amount of unbelievers in the world.  And with the amount of ongoing tragedy seemingly based in 'religion', I find myself questioning my beliefs, and this is not who I want to be.  I believe that Jesus died for our sins, and that he rose from the dead.  And no amount of religious bullying will change that for me.  That's it, that's all.

1 Corinthians 15:12-14 states:  "Now if Christ is proclaimed as raised from the dead, how can some of you say that there is no resurrection from the dead?  But if there is no resurrection of the dead then not even Christ has been raised.  And if Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is in vain and your faith is in vain."

I choose to believe that Christ was raised from the dead, and that he died for my sins.  And if that is not the ultimate test of faith, then I don't know what is.

Thank you for reading this post, even though it may not mean the same things to you.  I have felt very 'ungrounded' lately and when this opportunity came up, I couldn't say no.  I felt that it was just what I needed to be 'grounded' again.  Thank you Christie and Amanda (Joy Clair) and thank you Jesus for what you have done for me.

Until next time, happy crafting :)

Happy Birthday in Red Fire for Sweet Stamps

I have created a fiery Happy Birthday card for you today for Sweet Stamps LLC, using some vibrant reds, oranges and yellows.

To create this card, I used the Shades ink spots in Dandelion, Rustic and Valentine, in the direct to paper method.  Then I taped down my paper and the AS66-011 Abstract Stencil.  I embossed the image with clear embossing powder and after it was dry, I took my Memento Tuxedo Black and colored the paper.  I wiped off the embossing with a damp cloth, and viola!  I added the Happy Birthday sentiment form the Framed Handwritten Words stamp set popped upon some die cuts.

Such a fun card to make and I love the outcome :)  You can find the products I have linked in the Sweet Stamps online shop here :)  And don't forget to come and join us for the two monthly challenges over on the Sweet Stamps Challenge blog!

An Animals Only Challenge over at Crafty Ribbons :)

Well, this was a fun challenge :)  The theme for this week's challenge at Crafty Ribbons is to create something using only animals, no humans.  For those of us that enjoy our usual creating with human character images, this was a bit of a challenge, but I think it turned out pretty good :)

I used the Animal Cuddles Digi Bunnies for this project.  I resized the image so that only the girl bunny was on my card panel, and colored her using my Copics and Prismacolor Premiere pencils, and topped the card with some Animal Cuddles - Bunnies Grosgrain Ribbon.  So cute!  I love it :)

This challenge starts right now so hurry up and enter for your chance to win some fabulous ribbon from Crafty Ribbons!
