Anything Goes Challenge at Sweet Stamps and a Framed Flower

I have a fun mixed-media-ish card for you today for Sweet Stamps :)

I created this card by first sponging the background using Pumice Stone Distress Ink and the Moroccan Tile 5 x 7 stencil.  The I stamped the Dahlia red rubber stamp on kraft card stock along with the Happy Birthday Sentiment from the Framed Handwritten Words clear stamp set.  I took the Classy Circle Frame Piccolo and heat embossed it with Enchanted Aubergine enamel powder, using the Piccolo fluid adhesive.  I layered them all on glittery purple card stock and voila!

I had fun creating this card, and I hope it shows you more that you can do with your Sweet Stamps craft products!

Come back soon for more Sweet Stamps fun!

Purple and Dragonflies with Sweet Stamps ;)

Hello everyone!  I have a 'Thinking of You' card today using some Piccolo Accents from Sweet Stamps, along with some fun enamel powder and a cool technique :)

I created this card by first spraying the negative from the Dragonflies Accents package on white card stock with some purple ink spray.  This is a great way to get more use from your chipboard/cardboard embellishments :)  Use the negative pieces as a stencil!  Then I distressed the edges with Wilted Violet Distress Ink.  I added a layer of vellum over top because the purple was a little loud for what I wanted to do with it.  I used some Enchanted Aubergine enamel powder to emboss the dragonflies and glued them on the vellum.  Then I stamped the sentiment from the Framed Handwritten Words clear stamp set.

I really like the softness that the vellum adds to a card like this, it's just the right amount of softness to give a misty air.

You can find all of the l;inked products in the Sweet Stamps online shop :)  See you soon for more Sweet Stamps inspiration!

PS  If you haven't read the Sweet Stamps blog lately, please take note:  We will be holding only one challenge a month for the rest of the summer.  The Anything but a Card challenge will start again in October :)

Mixed Media Tags with Sweet Stamps :)

It's time for anew challenge over at the Sweet Stamps challenge blog!  The theme for this challenge is "Anything but a Card" so I have created two mixed media tags for you :)

For this blue tag, I used the French Writing Background ATC stamp to create some fabulous background texture.

For this black and copper tag, I used the French Writing Background ATC rubber stamp, as well as the Antique Leaf Scroll Border rubber stamp   to create background texture and the Dragonflies Picollos Accents for an embellishment.

These tags are a ton of fun to create and you can sure let your creativity fly with them!

All of the linked products can be found in the Sweet Stamps online shop, so go and have some fun looking around!

Happy Anniversary with Some Piccolos and Sweet Stamps!

Hello everyone, I have some fun inspiration for you today for Sweet Stamps:

I created this card using several different Piccolo sets:
A126 Flourish Accents
A103 Butterfly Flurry Flourishes
F102 French Oval Frame

And several different enamel powders:
Girl's Night Out
Shamrock Dreams
Aged White

As well as two stamp sets lol:
Framed Handwritten Words SS4406
Jasmine 4017J

And some Distress Ink:

I completed the Piccolo components for this card weeks ago, and just hadn't figured it all out in my head yet as to how it was going to come together, until today.  Right in the midst of another project I glanced at them and BINGO!  It came to me lol.  Sometimes that is just how the creative process works I guess.

You can find all of these products in the online shop at Sweetstamps.com and Iheartpaperart.com and I have linked each product directly for you :)

Come back soon and see some more fun inspiration for Sweet Stamps LLC!

A Male Themed Card with some Vintage Gears and Sweet Stamps

Hello everyone, I am back with some male-themed inspiration for Sweet Stamps.  I created a fun gear and script card for any man. I find I do not make enough male-themed cards, so at least once a month I try and pull one together, although I do struggle with it, lol.

I created this card by stamping and heat embossing with clear embossing powder the French Script Artsy Fartsy Stamp. The background is distressed with Frayed Burlap, Vintage Photo, and Ground Espresso Distress Inks from Tim Holtz. Then I chose the Vintage Gears Piccolos set and heat embossed the frame with Medieval Metals Detail Embossing Powder.  The gears and pieces are embossed with black embossing powder and Medieval Metals and glued on top of the frame.  The sentiment is stamped on vellum with Stazon, and glued to the back of the frame.

This was a fun project to do especially if you feel like getting down and dirty (grungy).  You can find most of these products in the Sweet Stamps online shop, plus many more products that I promise you won't be able to live without :)

Some Sweet Stamps Inspiration with Piccolos!

Hello everyone, I am here for Sweet Stamps today with an inspiration post using a fun technique with Piccolos!

I created this fun card using Piccolos as stamps :)  First I created the color on the cardstock using Mermaid Lagoon Distress Inks.  Then I used two different Piccolo shapes to stamp images into the color.  The first stamping was created with water, to remove the color of the back ground.  The second stamping was created using Tattered Angels Iridescent Gold, to create more texture and sparkle (who doesn't love a bit of sparkle :).  Then I sprayed water droplets and lifted up more color, and then I sprayed the gold droplets.

I dry embossed the top part of the card panel using an embossing folder, and computer generated the sentiment.

Lastly, I colored the Piccolos, some using Mermaid Lagoon Distress Ink and some using the Tattered Angels.  Then I heat embossed them with Ultra Thick Embossing Enamel, twice each. This gives them beautiful shine and dimension, adding to the 3d effect that they themselves create.

The Piccolos I have used for this project are:
A165 Flower Tops
A166 Flower Flourishes
LA123 Pop-Up Flower

You can find all of these in the Sweet Stamps online shop.

Come and join us on the First Sunday of every month for the Anything Goes Challenge, and every third Sunday of the month for the Anything But A Card Challenge!  Lots of fun and prizes to be had!
