Friends in Bloom with Polkadoodles

 Good day friends!  I am sharing a card today using some of the fun flowers in the Friend in Bloom stamp set from Polkadoodles.  This card was also created using the Pretty Colourful Paper as well as the Sweet Moments Chipboard Embellishments.  The paper lends itself to a mixed media card and the chipboard embellishments and Scalloped Rectangles and Tags die set really add some dimension!

I coloured these images using my Kalour colored pencils in the following colours:

Pink:  013, 029, 016, 024, 318, 048 (Tutu)

Green:  174, 116, 108, 107, 195 (Forest)

Yellow:  039, 041, 036, 056, 053 (Dried Wheat)

Blue:  296, 061, 378, 362, 361, 242 (Levis)

Purple:  466, 467, 163, 164, 261, 242 (Purple People Eater)

Zombies Eat Brains with Artful Angel

 Another Zombie ATC to share with you today, using the Artful Angel stamp set called Brains.  I love to make ATCs (Artist Trading Cards) and when I saw this stamp set it kind of fit with a mixed media background.  

I coloured the zombie using my Kalour Coloured pencils and created a mixed media background using texture stamps and ink.  She actually turned out pretty cute, lol...for a zombie!

Alright my friends, I am off to create some more fun and make a mess of my recently cleaned crafty space again!

 Have I told you how much I love this Succulent Life stamp set from The Rabbit Hole Designs?  I love it so much, I've created 3 projects with it this month!  This is the second project and it is a hexagon shadow box with a clear acrylic front.

Happy Little Stampers' ATC Challenge theme this month is Ocean/Sea and this happens to be one of my favorite themes and color schemes :)  I also happen to love the water, it is my happy place.  It's so peaceful.

It's time for a new Sketch Challenge over at Sweet Sentiment!  This month I have created a mixed media tag with a fun Stamping Bella image :)

HLS ATC August Challenge...Time!

It's time for a new ATC Challenge at HLS!  The theme this month is "Time" and I have created another bundle of ATCs :)

I started these just as I usually do, with a big piece of bristol or mixed media paper.  Then I added some Dr PH Martins Hydrus watercolors and let them move around.  Next I did some stamping and then I cut them down to size.  I got 8 ATCs out of this sheet of paper and I kept the little extra pieces to add as embellishments to these cards.  After I cut them to size, I distressed the edges with distress inks and heat embossed the text which comes from a stamp by Tim Holtz.  Then I layered on some embroidery thread, and the extra bits of paper which I also added three brads to.  I think the brads give a nice finishing touch. Well hello everyone, what a great theme this month for the HLS ATC Challenge :)  This was a fun theme, and as it turns out, this has turned out to be my favorite of the ATCs so far!  It's funny how that works, when you start with something in your mind but you end up with something far better than you ever expected!
