First of All Digital Stamps with Joy Clair Designs

 Hello crafty peeps!  It's a beautiful day here in the north with a an inch of fluffy white stuff on the ground!  I am here to share a card with you today featuring the First of All Digital stamp set from Joy Clair Designs.

This stamp set features two beautiful floral designs and 2 wonderful sentiments that can be used for any special person in your life.

To create this card, I colored one of the floral images with my Copic markers in my favorite color.  Then I layered it over a die cut doily and a paper doily to create some depth.  The flower and the digital sentiment from the same set are popped up on dimensional adhesive.  Lastly, I added some purple bling to give it that pop.

I will be back again soon with more inspiration...we are recovering from Covid in my house, so now I'm playing catchup ;)

Everything Better with Joy Clair Designs

 It's time for a new release at Joy Clair Designs!  And this release is full of wonderful images for both anytime as well as Christmas.

This new release is called Gather Together and features two Christmas sets, a Thanksgiving set and a floral set...the perfect collection!

I have created thhis card using the Everything Better digital stamp set.  I colored the image with my Copic markers and then layered it with some die-cut patterned papers and some enamel dots.  The sentiment on the inside says "Overflowing with Happiness" and is also from the same digital stamp set.

Creating Drama with Joy Clair Designs

 Good day my fellow hoomans!  I have created a dramatic card for you today using the Truly Inspire digital stamp set from Joy Clair Designs.

Mystery Flower :)

 I am horrible at remembering where some of my digis came from.  And this card is no exception.  I'm trying to get better at writing the name and company on the back when I print them out, and making proper files for them on my computer.  But alas, I didn't do either of those things for this next digital image.  If you know where it is from, I would love to give proper credit to the original artist!  Please let me know in the comments if you know where it comes from :)

London Tilda with Quick Creations :)

Hello everyone, I have a sweet Magnolia card for you today, using London Tilda for Noelle Martin and Quick Creations.

I have colored her on hot press water color paper, one of my favorite papers for colored pencils :P

I colored her up with my Prismacolor Premiere colored pencils in the following colors:
Skin:  PC927, 939, 1029
Hair:  PC1082, 946, 948, 1084
Dress:  PC1088, 936, 1027, 901
Boots:  PC1019, 1017, 1029, 937
Umbrella:  PC1061, 1065, 1090, 908, 1019, 1017, 1029, 937

I had a lot of fun creating this card and coloring this image, and to finish the card I also used paper from the Mirabelle 2 6 x 6 paper pack from Santoro/Trimcraft, the Honeycomb die from Lala Land Crafts, the Doily Flowers die set from Magnolia, the Grunge Doily die from Tim Holtz, the Fancy Labels die set from Sizzix Famelits, some adhesive pearls from my stash and the Artc stamp and die set #24665 R6.

One of these days I will work up the courage to paint a Magnolia stamp image with my distress inks...yikes!  No courage yet lol, but soon.

Plum Plumeria and Bella Paper :)

Noelle asked me this week to make something using the Lifestyle Plumeria 4 x 4 die and the Wild Rose Studio Bella paper :)  This was tricky for me, I usually work with images, lol...(but alas, if you don't challenge yourself, you'll never know what you can do!) so here is what I've done:

This is a fun fold flap card, my first as a matter of fact...yes, lol...a new technique!  I love this Bella paper, it is so beautiful and just happens to be my favorite color :)

Crafty Ribbons Inspiration :)

My Crafty Ribbons Inspiration piece this week is another sweet headband using the Animal Cuddles - Bunny ribbon, some cotton ribbon, and also some pink satin ribbon (from my stash :)

I used a Kanzashi style technique to make the flowers on this headband.  This technique is so much fun to create.  And I always have fun with ribbon and colors ;)

A Special Card for Mother's Day

My project for Quick Creations this week, is a special card for Mother's Day.  Noelle asked me to make a card using the Whimsy Rubber Stamp Fistful of Flowers by Crissy Armstrong :)

I colored her up with my Prismacolor Premiere Pencils on vellum in the following colors:

Hair - PC943, 944, 946
Skin - PC927, 939, 1029
Bows/Pants - PC1027, 901
Shirt - PC914, 916, 1034
Flowers - PC930, 1030
Greens - PC1096, 908

I made the large flower myself using the Tim Holtz Alterations die, and added paper flowers from recollections, as well as adhesive rhinestones and ribbon.  The vellum is cut with the Spellbinder's Floral Ovals die and backed with white card stock.  The background paper is from the American Crafts Dear Lizzy "Serendipity" 6 x 6 paper pad.

I Love You With All My Heart with Crafty Ribbons

Hello everyone!  Spring has finally sprung!  And along with it comes moving day for me....well, actually moving week, and this is the week.  What a job!  It will feel so good to get it over with.

For the Crafty Ribbons challenge this week, the theme is anything goes, so I have chosen to create an "I Love You" card, using the 35mm red satin ribbon and the french viscose lace in white.

I have used my Kuretake Gansai watercolors to create the background with the red and pearl colors.  Then I stamped the lace doily with white pigment ink and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder.  The flower is made using Kanzashi techniques, and I added the white pearl stamen from Marion Smith Designs.  The sentiment is from Crafter's Companion Heartfelt Wishes stamp set and the small white doily is die cut using the Spellbinders Teardrop Doily die set.

I love creating these flowers with ribbon.  Such a fun and easy technique that creates beautiful flowers.  The satin ribbon from Crafty Ribbons is heaven to work with and lends itself very well to these Kanzashi techniques.  I definitely have to order more :)

Crafty Ribbons Inspiration Wedding Card

Hello everyone, I have a super sweet card to show you today for Crafty Ribbons :)

I created this wedding card, by first making a watercolor background with my super awesome Zig watercolors.  I matched the ribbon to the watercolors before I started of course :P

Then I used a wide sheer ribbon to create flower petals in Kanzashi style and then created the bloom.  I added stamen and a gingham ribbon bow, and voila!  If you would like to see how these Kanzashi petals are made, I shall do a tutorial soon.  But to be honest, you can find a ton of tutorials on youtube.  That's how I learned.

Wildflowers...in a jar!

Had a wee bit of fun with these rubber stamps from Noelle Martin over at Quick Creations :)  She asked me to use the CC Designs Mason Jar Stamp and the Denami Flower Bloom stamp...together!!!!  Another challenge to learn from.  After pondering this request for a couple weeks I finally decided to turn the mason jar on its side and plant a garden inside!

I have blocked in the colors with my copics, and then added the shading and details with my Prismacolor Premiere Pencils :)

I have also used paper from the Doodlebug "Hello Sunshine" 6 x 6 paper pad :)  I will link everything I have used to the Quick Creations shop so you can find it easily :)

Inky's Happy Easter!

Good morning everyone!  I have an inspiration post today featuring Easter Bunny Monkey and the Happy Easter Banner from Inky Impressions.  I seem to be on a bit of a CAS kick lately, but it's all good.  I always learn something new with every new card I make :)

I colored these sweet images with me Prismacolor Premiere Pencils, and then layered it with a white dry-embossed card, some flowers and of course a little ribbon...what's card without ribbon right? lol

Some Denami fun with Quick Creations

I had waaayy too much fun with this stamp from Denami :)  Noelle asked me to create a clean and simple piece, and well...I made a few lol.

For this piece, I started out making a background paper, using the Flower Bloom Stamp, and then added it to cardstock and stamped the image again on vellum :)

These are the small note cards (see, I told you I had too much fun, lol).

And this is the box that I made to hold the set of four small note cards.  It's amazing what you can do with such a sweet and simple stamp :)\
