I have a Christmas card for you today for some Crafty Ribbons inspiration. I know, I know...Christmas is long over, but I couldn't help myself, lol. And besides, you can never have enough Christmas cards right?
I wanted to try this technique out, and I just gravitated towards the green background, so naturally, it became a Christmas card :)
I created this card by inking up my paper first with Peeled Paint and Shabby Shutters Distress Ink. Then I stamped the Hero Arts Sprightly stamp in Versamark ink and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder from Recollections. When all was dry and cooled, I took my Memento Tuxedo Black Ink pad and went direct to paper to color the paper black, right over top of the embossed image and distressed background. After this was dry, I took a wet wipe and wiped the black ink off the embossed image. I was left with a great contrast of color on the black background.
I finished this card with an inside sentiment from Avery Elle's Noel stamp set, some adhesive pearls from my stash, and ribbons and lace from Crafty Ribbons:
35mm Satin Ribbon in Cypress
Christmas Charm Lace in Sage
Christmas Charm Lace in Scarlet
The Christmas Charm laces are new for Christmas this past year, and are a perfect match for the Christmas Charm Ribbon Collection :)
You can find these and many other beautiful lace and ribbon at the Crafty Ribbons online shop. Don't forget to come and visit the challenge blog for a TON of Crafty Ribbons inspiration and a chance to win some CR goodies!

Some Crafty Ribbons Inspiration For YOU!
Hello everyone! Are you enjoying the fall weather? Although this is usually my most favorite time of year, this year I'm having a wee bit of trouble getting used to the colder weather...must be my old bones lol.
For my inspiration piece for Crafty Ribbons this week, I have created two cards. Yes I know, lol, I usually create in sets of three, but when I created the vellum for this piece I only cut it into two pieces, therefore...only two cards! Confused yet? Join the party :P
I used the very pretty Morlaix Cotton Lace to finish this project, and I just love how they turned out :)
If you are looking for beautiful ribbons and lace, you really do need to check out the Crafty Ribbons website.
And don't forget to come and join us for the 12 weeks of Christmas challenges, happening over on the challenge blog right now!

Just Because with Crafty Ribbons
Number 5 in my self-challenge is an inspiration post for Crafty Ribbons :) The sketch for this one is from pagemaps.com and you can find all of their June 2011 card maps here.
I created a Just because card for Crafty Ribbons using some French Viscose Lace, Cotton Lace, Birds Grosgrain Ribbon and the Just Because sentiment ribbon.
I also used the little flower from the Inkadinkadoo Mindscapes Stamp Set to create the background. I used the Mahogany distress inks and some brown Recollections ink to stamp the flowers. I also stamped some on scraps and then cut them out and popped them up with dimensional adhesives:) Lastly, I added some Recollections (from Michaels) adhesive disco ball bling to the centers of the popped up flowers :)
This was a fun card to make, and so easy when you follow a sketch :)
If you are looking for any ribbon, you really should visit the Ribbon Emporium. They have some really fantastic ribbons to look through. They also have lace and buttons!
