Hello everyone, it's new release day over at The East Wind :) This new image is called Lucy Loo - Hair. Gee, lol, I wonder why.
I colored this image using my Copics and Prismacolor Premiere Pencils in the following colors:
Hair: YR24

Skin: E000
PC927, 939, 1029
Eyes: YG03

Lips: PC1029, 938
I inked the edges of some of the papers using Vintage Photo and Frayed Burlap Distress Inks from Tim Holtz, and the paper is from my stash.
I am challenging myself to create more Birthday cards for people other than little girls lol. Hopefully this piece fits into that category.

Double Eyelashes New Release with The East Wind :)
Hello everyone, I am here today with a new release from The East Wind, called Double Eyelashes :) I just love the little details Unky adds to her images, like the ornate headpiece she is wearing.
Unky's images are so unique, you'll never find anything like them anywhere else but in her Etsy shop. You can also find The East Wind on Instagram and Pinterest, and of course on Facebook!
I had a lot of fun coloring (as with all of Unky's images :P) using my Copics and Prismacolor Premiere Pencils. I am finding lately, the easiest way to start my projects is by picking my paper first. I find the paper that matches the image the best, then I pick my colors from the paper. That way, when all is said and done, first there is no guess work, lol, and second, everything matches perfectly!

Lucy Loo - Hair on Top from The East Wind
I have been crazy busy, and during this time, I managed to color one of Unky's newer releases...Lucy Loo - Hair on Top :) She is just such a cool image to color and create with (as are all of Unky's images). Unky seems to be able to create these beautiful and yet so totally original images that exude grace and individuality. This one does not disappoint for sure.
I colored her using my Copics, Prismacolor Art Markers and Prismacolor Pencils in the following colors:
Skin: Copics E000
PC927, 939, 1029
Hair: PB108
PC935, 938
Fan/Ribbon:Copics BG10
PC992, 1006, 907, 938
Flowers: Copics R20
PC1092, 1081
I used paper from Michael's, in one of their $3.00 bins, and i found a sketch here that I really liked and followed it loosely.
Unky Lastrange has many gorgeous images to color on her Etsy site, including this one. Don't forget to find us on Facebook and Instagram as well!

Have a little Siesta with The East Wind
Having some serious fun with The East Wind digital images, and how could you not have fun with them? They are so original. I struggled for a sentiment for this one tho, lol. She is called Siesta and she just looks so comfortable and relaxed, lol. And you know, if an animal is comfortable enough to fall asleep with you, that you are the best in their eyes and that's what counts!
I have colored with my Copics, Prismacolor Brush Markers, and my Prismacolor markers in the following colors:
I also followed the same sketch maps from Pagemaps.com to complete this card, and you can find it here :)
This is the second of my challenge to myself and I am really enjoying this. Not only does it help you to make the cards if you struggle with placement, but it also teaches you when to stop adding embellishments, lol.
If you are looking for something new and original to color and create with, stop by The East Wind Etsy shop to see all of Unky's beautiful images :)

Some serious WOW from The East Wind
OK, so this new image from The East Wind has some serious WOW factor to it....are you ready?
Introducing The East Wind's Hair Heaven Rose Garden!
OK, really, what can I say about this image that you haven't already figured out? It's GAH-OR-GOUSSSS!!!!!
This was such a stunning image in black and white, lol, I couldn't help but color her in black and white. Well, alright, I actually only colored her in white, lol...on black cardstock.
I only used one colored pencil for this image, and yes, it was a Prismacolor Premiere, white PC938. And I say was...because I used up a whole white pencil on this piece. But it was so worth it :) I will definitely do her again soon, this time in color and I already have her printed out on kraft and white card stock.
If you would like to purchase this digital image you can find her on The East Wind website as well as in the Etsy shop! Don't forget to find TEW on Facebook and Instagram!

Lucy Loo - Being Lucy with The East Wind
I had some fun and a learning experience with this image called Lucy Loo - Being You from The East Wind :)
The fun part of this project was definitely in the coloring, and so was the learning experience! I stepped out of my comfort zone and tried her eyes the way Unky might do them, lol. So maybe they're not quite as good as Unky's but, I really like the overall effect:)
You can purchase this awesome image, as well as so many more on The East Wind Etsy store, a nd you can visit The East Wind website for more inspiration. Don't forget to find The East Wind on Facebook and on Instagram!

Just Saying with ATTITUDE!
Ok, so remember when I said Unky has done it again? Well, guess what, she has gone and done it AGAIN! Man this woman is fantastically talented and I can't wait to get her new images, even tho my coloring pile is still pretty high, lol.
This image is called Lucy Loo - Lucy and I love her :)
Don't you just love the attitude? This girl just exudes character and originality, and to me, that's what being you is all about. Just be you.
I didn't keep my color list for this one, but I used my Prismacolor Pencils, with my go to skin colors (927, 939, and 1029) and black (935) for her hair :)
You can find this image and many, many, MANY more in The East Wind Etsy shop :) You can also find The East Wind on Facebook and Instagram! Stay tuned for more wonderfully original images from this talented lady!
