Wow, it's that time again for the Button Team over at the Crafty Ribbons challenge blog!
I have used the Retro Cars ribbon to create a nice and simple #1 Father card that also hold a gift card ;)
I created this longer card to match the ribbon, so no sketch followed this time :) The ribbon didn't allow it. I know, excuses, excuses, lol.
I also used the handmade ribbon, and added it to the back of the popped-up sentiment :)
Lastly, I created the pocket out of one part of the ribbon panel, perfectly fits a gift card! What dad wouldn't like a gift card to his favorite handy-man store, sports store, or other fun he-man sort of place?
I hope that since you are reading this post, you have come from the Crafty Ribbons challenge blog, and that means you are going to join us! Hope to see you there!

Just Because with Crafty Ribbons
Number 5 in my self-challenge is an inspiration post for Crafty Ribbons :) The sketch for this one is from pagemaps.com and you can find all of their June 2011 card maps here.
I created a Just because card for Crafty Ribbons using some French Viscose Lace, Cotton Lace, Birds Grosgrain Ribbon and the Just Because sentiment ribbon.
I also used the little flower from the Inkadinkadoo Mindscapes Stamp Set to create the background. I used the Mahogany distress inks and some brown Recollections ink to stamp the flowers. I also stamped some on scraps and then cut them out and popped them up with dimensional adhesives:) Lastly, I added some Recollections (from Michaels) adhesive disco ball bling to the centers of the popped up flowers :)
This was a fun card to make, and so easy when you follow a sketch :)
If you are looking for any ribbon, you really should visit the Ribbon Emporium. They have some really fantastic ribbons to look through. They also have lace and buttons!

Time for Some Tea?
I am falling in love with the watercolor pencils, and if you notice in my projects lately, I have been using them quite a bit, lol. This project for Quick Creations uses the Time for Tea Ponytail clear stamp image, and I have colored her with the Prima WC pencils.
I used paper from the Prima "Princess" paper pad, and flowers from Kaisercraft :)
I really like how this card turned out, a different kind of layout for me, but I will definitely try this again :)
I have linked all the products that you can find in Noelle's shop for your convenience and I encourage you to visit the challenge blog and try for your chance to win a great prize from the Quick Creations shop :)

How about a little Pollycraft?
This week for my project for Quick Creations, Noelle asked me to use the CC Design's Pollycraft rubber stamp "Queenie". This is my first Pollycraft project and she was fun to do :) I colored her with my copics and Prismacolor Pencils and you can find my colors listed below :)
I colored Queenie by basing with my copics. I use my Prismacolor Premiere Pencils for shading and details, as I can't seem to get the hang of blending with the alcohol markers :P Perhaps I just haven't taken enough time to learn, hahaha. Trust me, there just isn't enough hours in a day to learn all the things I want to learn :P But you will notice that over the next few weeks, I will be trying different mediums as I learn them :)
Here are my colors:
Crown - CopicsY21, PC942
Shoes and Hair - Copics E13, PC943
Skin - Copics E00, PC939, 1080
Wings - Copics BG15, PC905
Dress - Copics RV13, RV09, PC994, 1030
I also used the CC Designs Cutters Vine Die, and Imaginisce "Little Princess" paper from the 6 x 6 paper pad. I have kept this one fairly simple, but added a hand made background paper, that I made using my Prima Watercolor Pencils :) Woohoo, new technique ;)
Stay tuned for more creations from me with Quick Creations, and also don't forget to check out the monthly challenges over on the challenge blog :) You can also find Quick Creations on Facebook and Instagram! See you soon!

Crafty Ribbons Inspiration :)
My Crafty Ribbons Inspiration piece this week is another sweet headband using the Animal Cuddles - Bunny ribbon, some cotton ribbon, and also some pink satin ribbon (from my stash :)
I used a Kanzashi style technique to make the flowers on this headband. This technique is so much fun to create. And I always have fun with ribbon and colors ;)
I love to learn new techniques and try new things. If you have a request or suggestion, why not leave me a comment and tell me about it? I would love to hear from you :)
If you're looking for awesome ribbon, come and check out the varied selection at Crafty Ribbons :)

A Special Card for Mother's Day
My project for Quick Creations this week, is a special card for Mother's Day. Noelle asked me to make a card using the Whimsy Rubber Stamp Fistful of Flowers by Crissy Armstrong :)
I colored her up with my Prismacolor Premiere Pencils on vellum in the following colors:
Hair - PC943, 944, 946
Skin - PC927, 939, 1029
Bows/Pants - PC1027, 901

Flowers - PC930, 1030

I am a Guest designer at My Whimsical Little World This Month!
I am so honored to be asked to be a Guest Designer for My Whimsical Little World. When Paola asked me, I'm pretty sure I did a little jig :) So I will be creating a project with a new release every Monday in May, and here is my first:
This image is called You Got This and you can find it here :) I am new to guy cards, lol, so I had a hard time finding the right sentiment for this. Of course I could have computer-generated one to my liking, but it's nice to use a stamp on a small space to match :)
I colored him with my Copics, Prismacolor Brush Markers and my Prismacolor Premiere Pencils in the following colors:
Hair: Copics - E99
PC943, 945, 946
Skin:Copics - E000
PC927, 939, 1029
Shirt: Copics - YG63
PC1097, 988
Pants: Copics - B34
PC1022, 1101, 901
Shoes: Prisma - PB112
PC1060, 1061, 935
Of course, I followed a sketch for this card, only the ones on the Pagemap pdf didn't fit with a guy stamp. So I CASed one from Pinterest that is also on Split Coast Stampers by Stampin' Nana.
My Whimsical Little World has so many cute images...if you would like to purchase this image or any of their others, please visit the Etsy shop :)
