I started in my art journal on a page that I had previously gessoed. I didn't notice until I had the paint on it that I hadn't put gesso on the whole page, but that's ok, I think it looks more mysterious that way lol.
After adding the acrylic paint, thinned with glazing medium and water, I applied a layer of plastic wrap and created wrinkles in it. After a few minutes, I removed the plastic wrap and let it dry.
Then I added the bubbles with clear modelling paste and a circle stencil. It's hard to see them in the photos but they are raised from the background. I shaded around the bubbles with my charcoal pencil and activated it with water. Then I added highlights in the bubbles with white acrylic paint. I drew in the seaweed and painted it with acrylic paint and glazing medium to give them a transparent look and also added shading and highlighting.
I added some clear acrylic dew drops and some fishing net along with part of a mop-up tag. I added the word stickers from Tim Holtz and called it done!
Thanks for stopping by! I will be back very soon with more art journal pages to show you ;)
