Coffee Kiki with CC Designs

Good morning sunshine!  Have you had enough coffee today?  Kiki apparently has not lol.  This stamp from CC Designs is very old, but I still love it and colour it.  This time I've used her to create a bookmark.

I coloured her with my Kalour colored pencils but I didn't keep the list...I know, shame on me lol.
Until next time my friends, stay warm and caffeinated!

Abominable with Artful Angel and The Color Catalogue

Well hellooooo there!  Today I am sharing a bookmark I created using the Abominable stamp set from Artful Angel, while also featuring The Color Catalogue from Sarah Renae Clark for the Artful Angel Color Challenge.  That was a mouthful wasn't it? LOL

This month we are using the #303 color palette from The Color Catalogue.  Such an inspirational tool that takes all the guesswork out of your color palettes.  Especially since Sarah Renae Clark has added the companions, which match up the colors to several different marker and pencil brands.  I use Prismacolor Premiere a lot, so this companion has been immensely helpful!

I focussed this color palette on the Yeti itself, but have also applied it to the main part of the bookmark...the background papers.  Below is the list of Prisma color pencils I used for this challenge!

208, 195, 930, 929, 928, 938, 935, 936, 1024, 1052

Have some fun and come and join us in the Artful Angel Takes Flight Facebook group!

Zentangle Bookmark

Hello my friends, thank you so much for joining me today!  I am here to share one of my Tangled bookmarks with you!

I created this bookmark using several tangles and fill-ins.  I created the watercolor background first.  Then added the drawing with my brown Micron pen.  To finish the drawing, I added shading and highlights with my graphite pencil and Prismacolor Premiere pencils.  I think this one is my favorite out of all 6.  I matted the bookmark onto black paper and punched the top.  Then I laminated it and added a handmade tassel.  I will be sharing more bookmarks with you soon!

I am in the process of moving both myself and my daughter in what could be opposite directions lol, so things are very sporadic and chaotic for us right now.  Please be patient with me as I get into SOME sort of schedule again ;)

Out on a Limb with Artful Angel

Hey hey crafty friends!  I am here to share a bookmark with you today featuring the newly released stamp set called Out on a Limb from Artful Angel.

Aren't these little birds adorable!?

I have colored these cutie pies with my copic markers and layered them over some patterned paper from my stash.  I added a sentiment that I typed up and printed out and voila!  A bookmark that any book nerd would love to use!

Come and join us in the Facebook group:  Artful Angel Takes Flight to see what the other design team members are creating with this sweet stamp set!

#Booktrovert

My second favorite project for THRD designs is this fun bookmark!

Hello my friends, it's my turn on The Rabbit Hole Designs blog for another project using the Book Lover stamp set from this latest release.  I fell in LOVE with this stamp set.  Too much fun.  I have created a bookmark (I know...cheesy lol) using the Book Lover stamp set.

I colored this sweet image using my Copic markers.  I added a wallpaper background and a shelf for them to sit on and layered the bookmark on some coordinating cardstock.  I stamped a sentiment from the same stamp set and called it done!  Such a fun stamp set :)

Some Inspiration from Crafty Ribbons

Hello everyone :0  The sun is shining and it is so beautiful here today.  A little bit of a breeze, but that's not a bad thing :)  Keeps you cool in the heat of the sun when you are on your deck relaxing and reading.  That's what I enjoy doing, and that is what inspired me to make today's projects for Crafty Ribbons.

I created three ribbon bookmarks, one for myself and for each of my girls.

I used ribbon from Crafty Ribbons, six different kinds of ribbon on three bookmarks...yes, I had a ton of fun making these!  The widest ribbon is made using the French Stamps 25 mm Grosgrain Ribbon, some 14 mm white seam binding, and some Swiss dot organza ribbon in island blue and white.

The middle ribbon is made using 23 mm Grosgrain Ribbon in a soccer ball pattern, some 14 mm white seam binding and some green Jumbo Ric Rac.

And for the last bookmark, I used the Vintage Birds 9mm Gosgrain ribbon, and Swiss Dots grosgrain ribbon in purple and gold.

I completed these bookmarks by adding ribbon crimp ends, beads and charms to each end of the bookmarks.  Top:  Make sure you choose ribbon crimp ends that are the same size as your ribbon :)

Don't forget to come and visit the challenge blog and get in on the action over there!  And also visit the Crafty Ribbons online shop for all your ribbon, lace and button needs and wants (of course lol).  Have a great crafty day!
