Hey Lovely with Polkadoodles

Hello friends, I am sharing some lovely spring inspiration with you today featuring the Hey Lovely stamp set from the Hello Spring collection from Polkadoodles.  I paired the stamped images with the Circle Hearts stencil from the Sweet Moments collection.  I used black ink because I am away from home and it's the only color I brought...but, it shows that you can still be creative with limited supplies.  Plus, I think using the grey paper and the black ink really make the orange and green pop!

I've coloured these flowers using my Prismacolor Premiere colored pencils in the following colors:

Green:  908, 1096, 1005, 1004
Red:  937, 924, 122, 1001
Yellow: 947, 941, 997, 916, 914, 938
Orange:  945, 1032, 921, 118, 1002

Garden Gnomes New Release with Artful Angel

Do you love gnomes like I do?  I love gnomes!  I especially love to color them :)  Artful Angel is releasing some new stamps today and one of them includes these fun Garden Gnomes!  Aren't they sweet?

To challenge myself, I used The Color Catalogue from Sarah Renae Clark to color these fun gnomies.  I used an online random number picker and was given the number 004!  Ok, sure!  I also colored with my Kalour colored pencils (WHAT?!) using the Prismas Color companion.  When you get to know your pencils really well, you can pick out the proper colors in other sets to match certain ones.
So the color combinations I used from Kalour are following:

Skin Combo #3:  181, 175, 197, 195, 048
Antique Navy:  296, 374, 378, 464, 381
Dusky Green:  174, 168, 116, 108, 118
Harvest Yellow:  039, 041, 056, 053, 204

See you again soon my friends!

Abominable with Artful Angel and The Color Catalogue

Well hellooooo there!  Today I am sharing a bookmark I created using the Abominable stamp set from Artful Angel, while also featuring The Color Catalogue from Sarah Renae Clark for the Artful Angel Color Challenge.  That was a mouthful wasn't it? LOL

This month we are using the #303 color palette from The Color Catalogue.  Such an inspirational tool that takes all the guesswork out of your color palettes.  Especially since Sarah Renae Clark has added the companions, which match up the colors to several different marker and pencil brands.  I use Prismacolor Premiere a lot, so this companion has been immensely helpful!

I focussed this color palette on the Yeti itself, but have also applied it to the main part of the bookmark...the background papers.  Below is the list of Prisma color pencils I used for this challenge!

208, 195, 930, 929, 928, 938, 935, 936, 1024, 1052

Have some fun and come and join us in the Artful Angel Takes Flight Facebook group!

Fairy Door with Woodware Designs

Good day my friends, the snow is starting to stay on the ground here in the north.  How is the weather in your neck of woods?

I am here to share a single-layer card with you today featuring the Fairy Door stamp set from Woodware Designs.  This company is fast becoming one of my favourites; stamp designer Francois Reed in particular!

I have colored this image wiht my Copic markers.  This stamp set is available (on sale!) at Scrapbook.com :)

Unfortunately I had a sticky marker and had to add some colored pencil over top to, not only deepend the shadows, but also to combat the shine fromt he sticky marker (ew).

What do you do to combat the shine left from a sticky marker?  I have also heard people use their embossing powder tools over the image to get a matte finish back.  Let me know in the comments below what you tips and tricks are for sticky marker shine!
